Built Positive is an industry movement for the Built Environment (BE) that is initiated by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute (C2CPII) The principal aim of this initiative is to motivate manufacturers, designers and owners to actively select C2C Certified products as a way of realizing their organizational and project goals. Built Positive is an industry movement that aims to diminish the built environments’ impact on people, planet, and economy by designing for circularity, verifying positive impact, and quantifying results from the molecule to the metropolis. Our vision is a world where verified, positive materials flow in safe, perpetual cycles throughout the built environment. Our mission is to accelerate the availability, optimization, and verification of positive materials for circular systems in the built environment.
During the Built Positive workshop we will highlight in an interactive setting the dynamics around preferring, manufacturing and financing materials and products that are developed using safe ingredients, that can be perpetually cycled and easily disassembled and recovered. We expect you to leave the room with a better understanding of challenges, opportunities and best practices covering Built Positive;s key concepts: circular design, material health, design for disassembly and recovery, value chain collaboration, quantification of value and the role of policies and standards. We will inform our public about the Built Positive Angenda for 2017 and invite interested parties to learn more about Built Positive.
